Home visits

If you are housebound and need an appointment, we will do a home visit. We will phone you first to understand what you need.

To request a home visit, it’s helpful if you phone the practice before 10am. Please give as many details as possible so that the priority of the call can be assessed. Non-urgent home visits requested after 11:00am cannot be guaranteed to be done on the same day.

Non-urgent advice: Doctors time

Home visits take u much more of a doctor’s time than a consultation in the surgery, so if you are mobile please come into the surgery to be seen.

Early Morning Appointments

The practice now offers appointments between 7am and 8am. These appointments must be booked in advance. Please note that the surgery is only open for the pre-booked appointments during this hour. Normal service will commence at 8am.

Video Surgeries

Our Registrar is required to video some surgeries. This is done for training purposes only and looks at how the doctor deals with various problems. If you have an appointment in this surgery and do not wish participate you can ask for the video to be switched off: however this has been shown to be an important method for teaching. These consultations are always kept confidential.
